Pointing the World to Jesus

At Farmington, we assemble together on Sunday mornings and evenings for worship, and Wednesday for Bible study and a devotional.

SUNDAY MORNINGS: On Sunday morning, we have Bible classes for all ages at 9:30 AM followed by worship at 10:20. Dating back to the first century, Christians have assembled together to sing songs of praise, pray, study Scripture, remember the death and resurrection of Jesus through the Lord’s Supper, and give of their means, and we continue to observe these same practices today.

SUNDAY EVENINGS: On Sunday nights, we follow a rotation depending on the week of the month:

  • First Sundays: Preaching From the Pews--At Farmington we are blessed with a number of men who are willing and capable preachers. On the first Sunday of each month, these men take turns delivering biblical messages.
  • Second Sundays: Devotional Night--Our devotionals alternate between themed singing services, prayer services, and services dedicated to the public reading of Scripture.
  • Third Sundays: Traditional Worship--These nights follow the same format as our Sunday mornings.
  • Fourth Sundays: Youth-Led Worship--On the fourth Sunday of the month, our young men lead the congregation as we worship. They lead songs, and prayers, read Scripture, deliver a Bible lesson, and preside over the Lord’s table.
  • Fifth Sundays: Congregational Singing--When a fifth Sunday occurs, we have a night of congregational singing where all of the men in our congregation are invited to pick out and lead a favorite song. After services on these nights, we have a special fellowship meal.

WEDNESDAY EVENINGS: On Wednesdays from September--May we have a fellowship meal beginning at 5:45 PM, followed by Bible classes for all ages at 7:00 PM. We conclude our services with a brief congregational devotional.
